Hay al made decision to not allow dropped motor mags and yes you cut the chassis and glue in the motor mag So lowered mags are out.

Correct sandfly, i think it will help keep the builds a little simpler .my wife and i discussed it quite a bit, i reluctantly had to tell her you're probably right. If this race goes well i would like to see that in the future.

That's not a relay,i took the grip apart and replaced the 18 gauge wire with 12 gauge.

If this race goes well i would like to see that in the future. So Kiwi Dave has been at me to hold a meet, so following this idea, I may propose a standard T jet 1/8th mile @ 18 volts, ( no traction mags), standard AW T jet 1000 ft 18 volts and standard Green arm T jets 1/4 mile at 20 volts. (no shunts or braids). Up to two traction mags for green arm and AW chassis. No Dash chassis. Just an idea. May have to be run over a couple of week ends depending on numbers.

OK, seriously, not trying to stir a hornets nest, but ... your comments about possible future classes and builds leaves me wondering a little bit about exactly what is allowed in this first race. you have made some stipulations and they are good. but you have also said, something like "those are the rules". maybe I am trying to see more into this than I should. I am considering running a 6 OHM arm in my t-jet for this coming race only because there hasn't been set a limit. now, if a certain set of guidelines that are already established are intended to be used, I missed that part of the discussion. again, no disrespect intended, but I have been running races for a couple (maybe 3) decades in several scales and without specifics (like standard style motor brushes, NO WET COMMS) folks look at the grey areas, which is common in all types and scales of racing, and see if they can gain an edge on the competition by doing something that isn't exactly against rules, but not intended for that class.
I want you to have a fun event, so, maybe it would be good to set down some specifics or borrow a set of rules from some that exist already. "t-jet" can leave a lot of room for interpretation.
sorry for the long drawn out speach.

This is my relay controller with a bump button.
The Qualifying board is ready to be labeled.
The pavers were here again today and the staging lanes are done.
