Wow Jeff, they are some great looking trucks and the flames on the Corvette are just superb. I am very envious of your skill.

This is the last of the current projects to get completed. I liked the way the lines of the body and the decals were so I decided to keep it clean and not add any names or sponsor decals. Another Hairy Canary resin beauty....a '70 Mustang Pro Mod. Santee "Beach Blue" lacquer polish and lacquer clear.

FINALLY finished the last few projects. These have sat around too long but I had some problems that I had to correct. These are all 660slots.com bodies and are top notch in every way. Plymouth Superbird PM...Fox Body twin turbo Mustang PM...and a '57 Chevy PM. I sealed the decals on all cars with an acrylic lacquer clear and the actual clearcoat is a custom lacquer product in a rattle can. I like the results for now but this stuff will bubble the decals if I don't seal them.

Finished up the AJR Pro Stock '94 Tbird for the SG+ chassis. For those that are interested....the stripes are hand cut lacquer painted clear decal paper as are the windows and headlight covers. In my opinion this is the best true red color. It is OPI lacquer polish "Coca Cola" red. It still needs the chute cords, but that's it. Still fighting with my clear coat, but it is what it is till I figure that crap out . This one will make it to Ebay.

Looks like a tutorial on making lacquer decals on clear sheets is warranted! The results are impressive.

The lacquer painted decal paper was a tip from Randy aka Hilltop Customs. One of those golden nugget tips! I will do a quick tutorial soon on the process from paint to cutting table. Clear paper works best because you can't see the edge of the paper like you can on white. Also since it is lacquer paint, it can be applied to any color paint without washing out. I could put those blue stripes on a black car and they would still be blue. Thanks for the good word guys.

I like to hear about guys helping each other. Randy (hilltop) is a real inspiration and his castings along with finished cars are top shelf. as mentioned in a different thread, Rick (HairyCanary) is a top notch caster as well and all his stuff is great. Jeff's stuff is flawless. for those guys to help each other the way they do is what makes this group really stand out from other chats and "clubs"!
