first is worse! red light always loses. my live racing rules are, when both cars are staged it is a race regardless of outcome. standard NHRA rules come into play with "first is worse" as the basis. if someone red lights, the other car doesn't even have to make the pass. I respect that everyone has a different perspective and honor what ever rules are in place when I race elsewhere. hope there are no hard feelings about the situations and you can all continue having fun. always appreciate the news and results of your racing. be well, stay safe, keep the shiny side up and between the ditches. Actually I believe the NHRA rule is "First or Worst". Meaning if a car red lights, but the other car makes a pass and crosses the center line or hits the wall. That car loses. I will verify this today, but I believe that is actually correct.....FYI. hosting track decides between "first is" or "first or". simply put, if a car red lights and the other car sits, the car that sits is the winner. which is the jist of the conversation I was replying to. it appears rules may have changed since I last read them and it is consistently "First OR Worse" . . |

Well there you go and here we are, its the first race night of the year at the ice man's Impala raceway. Ive been busy and have rebuilt the 3gear outlaw car, its still not fast but should cause a road block or two. Not sure what else has been happening so will let you know tomorrow.

Well it never ceases to amaze me what a week can do, Every one was on fire, there were some epic races and results, the sandfly team got Roned by matt the crump in Pro mod.  The ice man Po doin his job  The boys doin sum talkin, not sure what about, but there was a few stories told.  Now these are the red light punishments, not really as they are easy to drink, lawn mower man Alan was seen mixing then together, now thats a punishment.  What we call little boys, awesome supper as usual. back to the exploits of the sand fly crew, Chicken dinners in Top fuel with the Mac's tools fueler and inline with the cuda, these two also took home the track records for the opening night. The new 3 gear outlaw car took home a well deserved 2nd along with the 52 chev. Next week we are back at the ole rattle track at Mustang Alley. |

Boy that went fast its the first night this year at the ole rattle track, Mustang Alley. Had a go at tuning cars on the week end with no luck, so we shall see who's done what. No testing last night either. Will pony boy still be unstoppable on his home turf, we shall see, more to follow.

So that was an interesting nights racing. Six racers turned up and thrashed the record board all night. Only driver not present was the ice man Po, who may or not be a close contact..... Ron the train guy took the mistake of siting next to me and got his ear chewed of about the debonair project. Back to the racing the sandfly team came away with 3 records on the board, inline-cuda, truck-52 chev, and equal with camp mother in Pro-mod with the Ghost. Chicken dinners went to the cuda- inline, Ghost in Pro mod and the 52 chev in truck. Sad news with the mac's tools top fueler, out first round, so no points. Never mind.  Poor ole Ron keeping me company. Pony boy started the night with his name all over the record board and managed to keep some of them. As usual there was some hard and fast racing, with some of the lads testing 32nd scale racers, or should i say skid cars, full track burnouts. Next week we are back at the best track, SANDFLY ALLEY, cant wait. |

Well its been a week where omicron has taken hold of the country, possibly due to the ineptitude of our leader and her helpers. With a country with only about 5 mill people and over 100,000 already infected the government is still hell bent on us self isolating, So it will be interesting to see who turns up as i have had no word from anyone. The track is ready to go the cars are also good to go, the beers old, boy summer has finished already, the temps have dropped 6-7 degrees and are falling, so it might be coldish.

What a relief, seven drivers turned up, all fit and well. The nights racing was entertaining with quite a few red lights including the sandfly top fueler in the final, loosing to Pony Boy. The only chicken dinner to be had was in inline with the Cuda. Some of the cars i think will need a minor clean before we race again at Moonshine park.  The Will's boys at it qualifying their cars for the hundredth time.  One of the ten Matt's waiting to get to the line.  Ole Pony boy looking lost as usual. Other results were 2nd's in Promod for the Ghost and i seem to have not included any other placings. Till next week... |

Glad some of the gang made it. Thanks for the read and the smiles. Yha pony boy definitely looking lost, I keep waiting for something to jump out the box at him lmaooooo.

After a long week end drinking at my son's stag do, and not being the in the greatest form on sunday or monday to worry about race cars, i ventured into the garage last night just to see if the Mac's tools car needed any thing, from dead cold its within a few 100th's of its record, so i packed the box up ready for tonights racing at Moonshine Park.

Well what a nights racing, poor ole Impala Po is isolating again so we had 6 drivers vying for the wins and records. All the sandfly cars were qualified dead cold and were with in the last time set there, except for the t jets, they suck, i may have to do some new builds, as these chassis are quite old. I cant remember any issues with cars crashing or people doing stupid stuff except for the old red lights.  Grant's 32 ford, not a bad car, a good ole hot rod. Back to the racing, Mac's tools was top qualifier with a time just out side the last time here, the cuda also top qualifier. Pony boy was at it trying to upset the sandfly drivers at the start line but to no avail, the only red light i had was a double with him in Pro mod, pony went first and i followed so the ghost went through to the final. Chicken dinners went to Mac's tools, in top fuel, 52 chev in truck, ghost in pro mod and the cuda in inline. Jungle jim was second in 4 gear nostalgia. Mac's tools reset the top fuel record twice in racing so i was well pleased. Next week we are meant to be at Impala raceway, not sure if thats going to happen or we could be at Mustang Alley. |
