Yes well, burn it up the sandfly crew did just that, boy what a nights racing. The sandfly crew box ready for ACTION. To start of with the team lowered a few records, dropped the inline record again just as pony boy was hoping to snatch it away from me, boy that sg+ goes like stink with new oil. Next up was taking the pro mod record of Alan the lawn mower man who had just taken it of pony boy, Paul was none to impressed with his records going west. Then stepped up Mac's tools top fueler, 3 races and dropped the record on each pass, the new cluster gear worked its magic. The boys waiting pensively for pony boy to finish the ladders. With 6 drivers there was plenty of banter and drinking, Ron the train guy gave us a run down of the future of his knee, Matt the crump went on about his possible new job and buying his old firms ute. Ron also did the honors with a slap up snack of chippies and dip. Well to the all important Chicken dinners, the 52 chev red lit and got a 4th, The lure got a 3rd, Jungle jim fought for a 2nd behind Pony boy again, and we pigged out with 3 chicken dinners in top fuel, inline and pro mod. Next week we are back at sandfly alley.

Oh what a night All ready and waiting, the tension building, a quick look around, glasses in the fridge, beer in the fridge, punishment beer not in the fridge, the air is thick with anticipation Yes all is good, and the waiting continues! And where off to the races, its a mad dash and qualifying is in full frenzy, there's yelling and jostling, the gnashing of teeth and flying car parts as the boys get ready. With the usual 6 drivers some fields were strong but a few are not so popular so these may get dropped. The high light of the night was wishing Camp mother Grant and mower man Alan a happy birthday, Wendy my wife splashed out and got them a mud cake, very sickly indeed. So to the racing the sandfly crew did its job in qualifying with top place in Top Fuel, Inline and Pro Mod. During the nights racing we managed to lower 3 records below the mark set last year, i run a book that has the start of year records and the end of year records, its a good read, anyway, records went to Mac's Tools in Top Fuel x2, the Cuda in In Line x2 and the Ghost in Pro Mod x2. The team were very happy with that haul. Onto the finals and chicken dinners for the Mac's Tools, Ghost, Cuda, Scribble in nostalgia and the Willies in T Jet, what a haul, a great nights racing, next week we are at camp mothers Moonshine Park.

No prep no worries I don't think . They were flying last week just give them a quick little warm up. Don't jump the line and we should be eating good.

Well you see there was a problem, no prep means mixed results. Sorry no pics as camp mother's garage is a mess. Qualifying looked to be ok as the main cars were performing just slightly better than last time, most of us keep books of times at each race meet so we can see if we are on the money or not. Top qualified in Top Fuel, Inline and Pro Mod. This is where we came unstuck, red lit the cuda in the first round and finished 3rd, pony boy took my Top Fuel record by a bit, so I had a go and bet my previous record and was just a whisker from his, unfortunately he backed it up in the final and we finished 2nd. Not very happy about that one. The Pro Mod Ghost was keeping the flag flying with a new record and a CHICKEN DINNER. The Nostalgia Jungle Jim was in the points after coming up against the Scribble in eliminations, the scribble has come on and is marginally faster than the Jim, So we employed Ron the train guy to run Jungle Jim and i ran the Scribble, to everyone's amazement i red lit the scribble by a long way so the Jim would be in the finals, Some of the races thought this was bad juju, but i said its just team orders. So next week we are at the ole rattle track with the meet being run by the Ice Man Po, as his garage is out of order, so till then.

Well what a nights racing, the Sandfly crew started of qualifying and ended up with the usual mix at the top and bottom. TQ's went to the Mac's Tools, Cuda, Ghost and the Scribble. T Jet qualifying seen here with the Impala Ice Man Po's corvette and the Sandfly Willies, there has been some talk about dremiling that mint corvette just so he could go racing. Qualifying ended with compulsory shots for Pony boys birthday. Red lights have been a issue just of late with the Top Fueler, but not tonight we got smoked off the line by Matt with a very tardy 0.126 reaction time, which lead to fighting for 3rd and 4th, luckily the semi final saw a double red light and the Cranes Cam car went first, thanks mower man. The TQ Scribble had two goes at eliminating himself from the field and ended up with a 3rd. Good ole Jungle Jim came from the top half of the field to a very well deserved Chicken Dinner. The Cuda laid down some very good times to also get a Chicken Dinner. The Ghost not to be out done also went the buffet and grabbed a Chicken Dinner. Next week see's us back at the top track Sandfly Alley. Poor ole Pony Boy Paul wont be in the points as he's off to straila again for the Winter Nats.
