Lets just say it was Pony Boys night. There was 6 drivers racing, with a no show from Ron the train guy. With a bit of power loss on one lane it made for some interesting qf. The sand fly team was up there in qf, but once again i didnt write them down. Once that was fixed which lane to choose became an issue which i seemed able to pick the wrong one and a flurry of red lights didnt help. Seen here are the two Willies that i run, closest to camera is the t/jet the other one is 4 gear gasser both run at 18v. So where did we end up, slow of the line in top fuel ended up with a 3rd. Red lights affected the nostalgia cars, the pro mods, but the good ole cuda came through with a nice chicken dinner. Paul has quietly worked his magic on most classes now and is getting a firm grip on the records board. Next week we are back at the ole rattle track, so we shall see what happens there.

Red Willie's, that's the one that was giving a hard time running before? Glad you got it straightened out. Looks good on the track.

Well nothing much to report except for some reason those red lights keep getting in the way, with most of the sandfly cars again making the top half of the fields we were undone by going early. only one pic of any interest was lawn mower mans gasser left parked on the track. Other news Pony boy finally took the top fuel record of Mac's tools, he's been trying for ages. So to the results, 3rds for the scribble and the crown, 2nds for the 52 chev, cuda, gtx and the mac's cars. You guessed it the good ole Ghost came home with a chicken dinner. Next week we are back at sandfly alley, hoping to do better.

Well there you go another week has gone by. The sandfly cars were ignored on the week end due to work on the debonair and a club garage run on sunday with Po the ice man driving and three able navigators, Pony boy, the lawn mower man Alan and myself all trying to get the ice man lost. Tonight will some tuning of the USA cars, so till tomorrow.

Well we tried our hardest but things didnt go our way. After all the track prep and some hard talking to the cars it turned out to be a pony boy show again. With TQ's in top fuel, Funny car, inline and pro mod, things were looking good, The calm before the storm, such a peaceful place, only the smell of unburnt race fuel. Where it all counts, the 1/4 mile trap. I see some one has left some unattended race fuel beside the track, got that quick smart. Where the action is coming right at you. The frantic haste of qualifying, the hustle and bustle of the driver station. Matt, Paul and Po. There are some fast cars here. So the all important results, was wondering if i would get fed, owing to us having roast chicken for dinner, real roast chicken that is. The scribble got a 4th due to the red mist, Jungle jim wandered off into the paddock to chew grass. 3rds for the ghost, (red light) and the crown. 2nds for the 52 chev, cuda, (red light), altered in pro mod and Mac's fuels, (red light) pony boy also took the top fuel record. That left the GTX funny car, boom winner winner chicken dinner. Any way it was an excellent nights racing and we are back to Moonshine Park next week. may have better luck there..

Well for those disbelievers, yes it was cold, the heater was going flat out and pony boy alias Wendy was camped right in front of it. The sandfly crew matched up well in qualifying with a few tq to boot. The track was slightly slow and camp mother was mumbling about slow cars, so lane choice would be critical. The hi light of the night during eliminations was the Mac's tools retaking the record from pony boy As you can see i was Very happy being able to do, the its my record now dance. The ice man showing of the red light prize, a lovely warm Lion Red. Secret agent pony boy with that i got you grin after beating the cuda in the inline final, only because of a wee red light. So what happened, Jungle Jim(nostalgia), after being roned against the Scribble and the Crown(inline) finished third. The Cuda and the Ghost both red lit against pony boy to get seconds. Chicken dinners went to the Scribble(nostalgia), GTX(funny car) and the Mac's Tools top fueler. Pics supplied by camp mother.
