Well shall we call tonight's meeting the ALL BLACK ADDITION, racing tonight has been shortened due to the All Blacks playing stralia tonight rather than on the weekend, so we are off to Impala Raceway for a 4 gear pig out, all other classes have been sent to the trailer, so should be a quick nights action, then off to Sandfly Alley to watch the action and hopefully a win. till tomorrow.

Well there you go, the All Black race night was a success, after a tense game the All Blacks came away with a win. Now on to the more importanter stuff, the sandfly crew did an ok job at qualifying with the getting quicker Jungle Jim, Mac's Tools getting tq's. Some of the ice mans shed rules, and look out there were punishment Lion Reds and a lot of them as well. As can be seen here, no sooner have you ripped the top of some more race fuel, up pops a cherry and a drink to go with it. I must admit the sandfly crew did a reasonable job at helping these go down. There were a few double red lights as well, the sandfly Mac's tools had a double and luck would have it that i was the chaser, so we went through to the next round. With only 5 drivers participating and a short field of classes, racing was hard and fast as could be expected, complete with a few stories from the week. Ole pony boy was absent as he is away on a hot rod car thing. To the important results, yes there were chicken dinners to eat, see i said dinners again, Jungle Jim in nostalgia, The Ghost in Pro Mod, 52 Chev in truck and Mac's Tools in top fuel, so was well pleased with this haul of points. Next week we are back at the ole rattle track, Mustang Alley. See you there.

You guys certainly have fun over there. Congratulations on the rugby win. I think that all those big guys standing in front of me doing the Hakka would scare the s**t out of me .

Sorry no pics from last night's meeting, however, to say things didn't go right would be true. Racked the cars up for qualifying and found all the cars going slower than last time here, not a good omen. The racing was very close with the sandfly crew struggling to get some decent speed from the track. The crew made 4 finals and only achieved one win. Not sure how it happened but the Mac's tools top fueler got beat and ended up 3rd, pie and chips went to Jungle Jim, The Ghost and the 52 chev. We didn't go hungry with the cuda doing its thing again. I must do some prepping of these cars as its race night at Sandfly next week, so am hoping for some better results.

Well the Upper Hutt weather didn't disappoint, just before kickoff it started raining and never stopped, like it's still raining now. Pony boy got me this sign, not sure what it means but looks great on the beam. The crew did some work but not very well on some new/old cars that belonged to ole Kiwi Dave, Both these cars need to take a good look at them selves The catering crew checking on progress in the shed before the lads arrive. So on to the racing, the sandfly crew did an ok job a qualifying with tq's in nostalgia Jungle Jim, inline Cuda and truck 52 Chev. With only 5 racers turning up, po the ice man had a dog's birthday or something more importanter than racing to attend to. There was some very close races and i mean close, the sandfly team came unstuck in Pro mod with the Ghost, a 0.000 r/t and a way faster e/t only for the win light to show for the other lane, we are not sure about this but it happens a bit, never mind, the Ghost has a healthy lead, must admit tho it sounds like the cluster gear is on its way out, finishing with a 3rd. Before the race meet the team owner told the sandfly drivers to keep away from the red drinks which worked as no red lights for us last night. So who wants to know, well lets say it was better than last week, we were eating up a storm. Sadly, the top fueler Mac's Tools only managed a pie and chips. A record for the 52 chev taken from Paul in truck and a chicken dinner as well. Other chicken dinners went to Jungle Jim, The cuda and the Willies in Vintage Gass. Next week we do it all again at camp mothers Moonshine park.

Well lets just say it was cold. Six racers turned up including the ice man, he must have run out of family things to do. As we all know cars go slower the colder it gets but this didn't detract from an excellent night's racing. Camp mothers skite cabinet with his old fast cars in it. The sandfly team entered 12 cars for the nights racing, the lure a green arm 3 gear was back in action along with the ol yella truck. Top qualifiers were Jungle Jim, The Cuda, The 52 Chev and Mac's Tools. Well, we didn't go home hungry, but didn't get everything we wanted. From the bottom, the altered in Pro Mod finished 4th along with the Crown in inline. 2nds went to The Lure, The Ghost, and Mac's Tools. Chicken dinners went to Jungle Jim, The Cuda and the 52 Chev which also lowered the track record twice. So not a bad night's racing, will need to find where the speed has gone in the Mac's Tools car it is running about 1/2 a tenth slower from where it should be so more work for the weekend. Speaking of the weekend its race time in Texas, we will all be following the races so bring it on. Next week see's us back at the ice man's cave. See you there.

Well there you go, another nights racing in the books, Its always a worry when you turn up and the punishments are awaiting on the heater. With seven drives turning up the racing as expected was hard and fast with total disregard to the ever-present threat of the demon drink. And were off to the races, Alan with his first free drink of the night. Qualifying went ok with the jungle Jim, Cuda, 52 Chev and Mac's Tools taking top spots. Alan was not the only one to have issues with the red drink, these two were so slow off the line track promotor The Ice Man had these open before they got to the end of the track. Ok to the racing, the sandfly crew did it again, wasting precious points by red lighting or just being a tad wee bit slow off the line. With three 4th places going to the Lure, the Crown and the Willies vintage gasser. Absolutely no 3rds at all. Two second places to the Ghost and believe it or not beaten again by pony boy the Mac's Tools top fueler. A feed of yummy boys and girls with lashings of tomato sauce. Thanks to camp Mother for the pics. So that brings us to the Chicken dinner table, Jungle Jim, The Cuda and the 52 Chev all had a feed. Next week sees us back at Sandfly Alley due to pony boy being away, so till then.
