right im back at work, no that doesn't mean were ready to race far from it, we are all having way too much fun doing other things, like watching it rain for days on end. Will be back in the shed this week to start the build, cant wait for racing to start, yes i can, no i cant, yes i can......

Thats right you guessed it, RACEING starts this week, we kick off at camp mothers, should be a blast.

Well there you go all that waiting, the angst, the stress, the sleepless nights, all gone in a flash.



The real waiting has begun.

As always in the rush to get out the door, forgot last years race book with all the track times, never mind.



Camp mother doing camp mother things, I think ive done this before but cant remember if this is right.



So the record board filled up like that, the sand fly team did ok but not in the classes i wanted.



Ok to the racing, the new class to take over from outlaw, (green arm 3 gear) is Mini, (green arm 3 gear non-mag chassis, no traction magnets, bars allowed) Kiwi dave and i ran a challenge plaque a few years ago and camp mother thought it would be a good class to run, so he provided everyone with mini hot wheels, to use. I built one and it was dog slow, so i used daves resin bodied one and added lead to the roof lining, following the racing they have outlawed the plastic fantastic. Wonder why.

Enough of that, 4th went to jungle jim, 3rd's to Catch me- funny car, Vega- pro stock. 2nds to Ghost and mac's tools, chicken dinners went to F100 in truck, Willies in vintage gas and plastic in mini.

Well lets see how tonights racing goes at Impala raceway, pony boy was there last night doing secret testing, every ones been at it improving their cars from last week so we shall see, whos done what.

So we went, we looked, we drank, we played at the ice rink and we drank some more.



Matt the crump and pony boy at it, as usual with the first race night jitters the power supply decided it had had enough, Matt saved the night by bringing a spare power supply, funny that, with that fault fixed the ice cave ran as usual, lots of tall stories and banter.



These two idiots were at it again, creating havoc and playing mind games.

The sand fly crew did an ok job at qualifying but racing was to be another matter, sandflys crew chief noted an unopened box of LION RED'S, that could only mean one thing, punishment drinks for red lights, so we were a bit off on our reaction times and in these field's where you snooze you lose is just about right. A total of 14 reds recorded of which i got one when i didnt need it, bugger, that would have been the Ghost.



To the races we went, Scribble out first round, the delivery dns again, too slow. Every one else made points.
Fourths went to jungle jim, vega, willies-t jet, orange roughie in mini.
Thirds to catch me, ghost, willies gasser.
Seconds to plastic mini and Mac's tools.
Only 1 chicken dinner to the F100 in truck. So did some eating.



Records went to Mac's Tools, Ghost, Vintage gas and truck.
