Well there you go, the difference a week makes and a rattle track. Just need to remind myself that my cars dont go well at Pauls. Qualifying went fast as some how there seemed to be a race to end the night early. Never to disappoint Ron the train guy was up to his usual tricks by entering cars in the wrong classes, perhaps this is a ploy to reduce the classes. Not sure where the sandfly cars finished in qualifying. Camp mother seen here doing his job, recording the records board before racing. To the racing there were some very even races during the night, even the slower classes were putting on a show for the crowd of seven. The sandfly team must have been having an afternoon binge drinking session as we weren't at all on the pace, this was revealed with a string of ofr cars in the pits. Po the ice man enjoying a nice cold one, while rugged up warm. Some of the frenzied action during the night, there were bodies in all directions, poor ole pony boy couldnt keep up with the supply of empties that were appearing and the box for the empies never getting full. On the way to the results board, the team owner had a few choice words for the drivers, due to the poor effort. OFR's went to, scribble, Jungle Jim, Vega and the model A. 4th went to the Willies in Vintage Gas 3rds went to Catch me, Willies in T jet, and Mac's tools. 2nd went to the Ghost Chicken dinner to the F100 in truck. Never mind, next week see's us back at the other rattle track for more fun and laughter. Till then.

Well where do i start, how about this, Latest arrival at the track, gift from pony boy. Managed to get the track all sorted, garage cleaned up but no time to prep cars, so off to qualifying we went, most cars went ok with no real improvement from last week, normally a freshen up takes 2 weeks to get going, nothing happening here tho. Only one tq that was the f100 in truck. Pony boy being ignored by Ron the train guy. Po the ice man telling some sort of story, perhaps he was telling the lads about the latest dogs birthday. To the racing then, with pony boy jumping around and looking at the record board at every turn, racing was underway, only after a rummage through the beer box and everyone was handed a lovely warm Ranfurly, you just have to do what you have to do. There were some extremely close races, and i mean close. So ofr went to the scribble, F100 went slow for some reason, Willies t/j, model A and the Mac's tools with a .004 red light, bugger, no points for him. No 4th's, 3rd's went to Willies in vintage gas. 2nd's went to Jungle jim in nostalgia, Catch Me in funny car, Vega in Pro Stock. Interesting point i told Ron to make sure he put his cars in the correct classes, he managed to put a wrong car in Pro Stock along with the ice man as well, i told every one that if you put a car in the wrong class i wont regig the field, so you miss out, luck would see the Vega through to the final with these two not racing. lesson learnt. who would know. Chicken dinner went to the ghost thanks to Alan red lighting in the final. So thats a wrap, next week we are back at camp mothers stamping ground, Moonshine Park.

Well there you have it, another race night gone along with a few bevvies. After the thrash on Wednesday night to prep the cars i forgot the scribble, never mind. So i get to camp mothers to find this, Which had been drunk by pony boy, turned out it came from here. You can imagin how that went. To the qualifying we went, short and sharp, found the lanes were evenish depending on the car, the prepped cars were there or there abouts in time, should be flying next week. Track promotors still having issues with the great unwashed about getting their cars in the correct fields. This time its the train guy again. Records fell and were then reset, one very annoyed ghost driver smashed the record only to have pony boy take it away by a small amount, never mind off to the racing. It was a night of OFR's how did that happen, scribble in nostalgia, F100 in truck, Willies in t jet and model a in tin top. No 4th's 3rd's went to catch me in funny car, f100 in truck and vega in pro stock. 2nd's to ghost in promod due to a red light, willies in vintage gas. So who's left, racing to the top of the pile, thats right Mac's tools in top fuel eating a well deserved chicken dinner. So not such a good night for wins, but the glass recycler wont be happy with his green 5 cylinder chev, That a wrap, next week we are back at the ice cave, till then....
