Well lets just say it was cold, a -2* frost this morning, still will be a great day.  Wonder whats inside this box, may be stuff for kiwi Dave?. All racers braved the cold except for lawn mower man who is awol in the states. Qualifying went ok with the ghost and the F100 taking tq's for their classes.  Just a different view from the finish line back to the start, no tire tracks visible here, every ones flat out. Whos that hiding in the background.  as per usual a round of lovely Ranfurly Draught beers before the starters orders were given. Off to the races we went, lets see how the team did at the home track. DNF went to the Model A in tin top, OFR went to the Willies in t/jet, 4th went to Catch Me in funny car 3rds went to Jungle Jim in nostalgia, Vega in Pro-stock and Mac's tools in Top Fuel, 2nds went to Scribble in nostalgia, Willies in vintage gas,  Mini Gasser racing, the mini v grape, dont know who won.  T/Jet action, i think this was the final and have no idea who won that as well. Having to run the meet and fill out the tree's with all the winners so camp mother can do his thing, there is too much to remember.  Alright here we are eating again, winners in truck with the f100 and the Ghost in Pro-mod. Got inside just before midnight, poor ole silty didnt like the cold either, so next week i think we are back at camp mothers, till then. |

love those old school light gantries. please educate me !!!!! what is "OFR"? OFR is OUT FIRST ROUND, this usually means no points either. The light gantries are made from Meccano and are just what i wanted. |

Hi ho hi ho, were of to see camp mother, was very warm last night so should be the same tonight, ole pony boy is still talkin up a storm about how many races he's gonna win.
So we shall see, cars have remained in their trailers following last weeks efforts, so till tomorrow...

well that was a night, with no prep on the cars they all decided to do their own thing. Some went faster some went slower, dont think it had anything to do with these,  Ole pony boy was at it again seen here trying to hide.  Camp mothers do list is a great read, With lawn mower man still missing i had the table all to myself. Qualifying was over in a flash and i had to check times against last visit, most were close.  Waverly matt diving for a new drink. To the racing in nostalgia, somehow camp mother got all team cars to race each other so ron was in demand as the relief driver, i gave ron the jungle jim car that was slightly slower than the scribble as i wanted jim to go through, with a very tardy reaction time from scribble, job done.  Just in case your interested.  The ice man guarding camp mothers pile.  Best get a shot of some racing, T/Jet green arms awaiting the lights, dont know who won.... To the results OFR went to model A, Scribble and willies in t/jet. no 4ths 3rd to the vega in pro stock 2nds to jungle jim, f100, ghost and mac's.  we were eating thanks to the catch me nostalgia funny car, racing in funny car, funny that i am now a funny car driver on nitro slots. Next week we are back at the ice cave, see you there. |

Ok its thursday, its coldish, its race night at the ice cave, the ice man will have the place nice and warm, cars havent left the pit box this week so we shall see if leaving them alone works or not, till tomorrow...

Well there it was, a truly cold night for racing, with only 5 racers competing the scraps were very limited. Qualifying was done in a flash, with no Ron the train guy and Alan the lawn mower man. Did i say it was cold.  The ice man doing his stuff. With the heater going we all sat for a talk and waited for po to finish, racing started at a respectable 7.30 with a few classes down on cars. The sandfly cars decided that last night was not the night to pull some fantastic times and win races, the catch me car still wants to be racing in nostalgia as the jump to 20v is hardly noticed in times. The rest were average at best.  The ice cave formally known as impala raceway. I wonder why. To the racing then, as can be seen its not good reading, ofr went to the scribble, willies t/j and the model A. 4th to the willies in vintage gas, 3rds to jungle jim, vega and mac's tools, 2nds to f100, catch me,  The lonely chicken dinner to the ghost. Next week we are back at the ranch. with all those mustangs. |

Well I'll leave this here, just a big fat zero, nil nada zip. Qualifying went down hill along with any sort of performance from the cars, along with for some reason pony boy was using two different controllers??. With five racers braving the cold it was a quick nights racing.  Good position for the heater next to 80L of methanol.  No im not saying anything about the racing, but i helped pony boy swap this boat anchor from out of his daughters mustang.  One for the ice man fans, doing what he does well. No pic of the running sheet, never mind next week sees us back at waverly park. |

Well there you go after the big fat Zero, nil nada zip from last week i spent some time on sunday cleaning arms brushes and general lube jobs on the cars so we shall see how they go, hope waverly matt has the heaters going, till tomorrow....
