I wanted to thank Gale for correcting my goof up on my Cuda. All the testing I did it never needed a wheelie bar on my track. The Camaro did. When I was packing them up to mail them out at the last minute I got nervous and added a wheelie bar. I drilled through the back of the chassis but had to be careful not to push the wire to far so it didn’t rub on the crown. Spinning the axle I thought it was good. Apparently not. I sent Gale PM Thursday night to remove the wheelie bar and he did but it was de slotting. So he made the wheelie bar work the rest of the race. And made it work really good. Thank You very much Gale. That’s just one of the things he’s doing that we don’t see besides everything going and running the race.

That is a very good point Rick. There is a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes during a race. Things with cars...the track...cameras....computers....etc. Gale also had to do some work on one of my inlines. It remains to be seen if it's going to work, but whether it does or not, I'm appreciative that he took the time to try to get the cars down the track. Thank you Sir! Your first race is being run like a Veteran Racemaster. I am enjoying all of it. I am also hoping you will run many more Gale!

Thanks you guys! Glad the coverage is being enjoyed!
Here's a pic of the full bracket after the 4G SS race, forgot to post it last night. If one so desires, you should be able to click on it, that'll take you to the Flicker site, download and be able to look at it any size you want.
A quick foot note: We got dumped on yesterday, last night and more on the way. My wonderful wife did what she could shoveling to keep up with it but I'm going to have to get out there this morning and blow some snow. It's cold, light and fluffy so shouldn't take more than a couple hours. So .... with that said the racing will be delayed a little till 9 - 10 o'clock my time. Thank you all for your understanding with this!

Rick Its interesting that your car that never needed a wheelie bar before needing one at GTS. My Nova wagon was the same way but its hooking up so good that now it needs a wheelie bar too. The cars must be getting great traction off the line. Up till now, I don't recall ever putting a wheelie bar on a 4G car. Have to rethink that.

Bill my Cuda has the same chassis that I ran at KiwiDaves and to Al's race it had my Firebird body on it which is a little heavier and no braids and it never needed a wheelie bar. I think the less horse power and the heavier body calmed it down enough that it didn't need one. When I put braids on and the lighter body it was more violent off the starting line and there was a fine line on putting one on or not ? Just had a bad feeling when I was boxing the cars up. I should have took the gear plate off to visually see if it was rubbing the crown. The Camaro was a new build with a little different set up than the Cuda and it needs a wheelie bar even with the heavier Camaro body. I think Gale's track has a lot of bite. I need to start putting wheelie bars on the cars with more power. Neither of my inlines have them. Not enough horse power I guess. Rick

But anymore I find myself running both magnets and bars . I realized that there is really no reason not to run them when they are allowed. They not only assist with keeping the car from deslotting, they also really help keep the pick ups planted. If they aren't adjusted properly they will unload the rear tire just like 1/1 though.

Thank you all for your patience! We're rollin' now .
FIRST ROUND of I/S ELIMINATIONS:
GTS took this one with a .685 vs a .731 from kstocks Blue Javelin.
GTS took this one also with a .635 vs kiwidave's Cuda doing a .878
The pit crew got Jeff's crown gear operational again, let's see how it did. It's up against one of alpink's Vipers, which has been qualifying pretty strong this weekend. Jeff takes it with a .602 vs the Pinto's .649
This was a really exciting race to watch! The late model Mustang of mustangpaul's took right off while the black Mustang of kstocks wheel hopped almost to the 60' marker. Never lost contact with the rail and caught mustangpaul just before the speed trap, he was flyin'. Did a .715 vs a .719 from mustangpaul. A real squeaker.
Jeff took this one from the Rat Fink, .630 vs a 1.071
gnome's Cobra takes this one with a .696 vs the EagleRacing Coupe putting down a .794
The pit crew got the fuel supply problems sorted on the Blue Vette .... sorta. Managed a .852 vs kiwidave's winning .667 time.
Be back asap

Congrats to all the racers and first round survivors some nice close ones there. I remember a race I had with the Beretta back in the early 2000s. We ran side by side the whole way down and neither of us could tell who won at the finish. I thought I might have won by a bumper and it turned out so as I had a whole .01 lead. My opponent told me he was urging his car on the whole way down, a real fun race.

ROUND 2 of the I/S ELIMINATIONS
All lined up, waiting for round 2 .
Bill smoked the Psycho with a .558 vs a .697
This was a close one but hairycanary pulls it out with a .622 vs pete's .647
This was an easy one for Dave but he didn't let up! He put in a .571 vs a .653
Another squeaker! Looked even the whole way but gnome pulls the win with a .584 vs Jeff's .594
kstocks Mustang hopped a little off the line. Flew thru the speed trap again but couldn't catch Dave's .552 vs the Mustangs .712
This one was all alpink's with a .587 vs Jeff's .623
Pete took off in his 57 and never looked back. He took it with a .594 vs gnome's .704
Another one that looked even the whole way from the tower. Hairycanary's Silver Vette takes it home with a .578 vs kiwidave's .631
We're almost there .
