SEMI's & FINALS for the I/S
Dave wants this one. Comes close with another squeaker ...... Bill takes the win with a .562 vs a .569 from the Green 57 Chevy
Hairy gives it his best run of the afternoon with a .562 ....... not quite good enough with Dave's 55 doing a phenomenal .541
And the Finals:
Well, here it is, this is for the the whole bag of popcorn! They both choke a little but Dave Vince comes up with the win, doing a .558 vs a .569 from the weekend long dominant 56 Chevy Sedan Delivery.
WOW! What an afternoon of racing! I'm still shakin' . Congratulations to all the Racers! Congratulations to all the Semi-Finalists & Finalists Congratulations to dave632 for the win!
Thanks everyone! We'll have a little Trophy Presentation Party tomorrow.

Here comes Dave, I was thinking there goes Bill. Great race Bill I was sure you were going to take this one as both my cars slowed from qualifying but it seems we all did. You took out the 57 Chevy in the semi which at my track beat the 55 more than it lost to it. Hairy Canary's had a great showing. He had a great weekend making the final and semi final doing well in both classes. Thanks to all the racers for making it a great show and a big thanks to Gale for doing such a great job with his first event.

Congratulations Dave for your win and Bill for your runner up. And everyone who entered the race. The cars where flying and some good close racing. Gale you have to be Proud, Happy and Relieved how things went. You even finished the race with a snow delay I've been through a lot of rain delays but never a snow. Great Race ! Rick

Its interesting that your car that never needed a wheelie bar before needing one at GTS. My Nova wagon was the same way but its hooking up so good that now it needs a wheelie bar too. The cars must be getting great traction off the line. Up till now, I don't recall ever putting a wheelie bar on a 4G car. Have to rethink that. I never used to run wheelie bars either. But anymore I find myself running both magnets and bars . I realized that there is really no reason not to run them when they are allowed. They not only assist with keeping the car from deslotting, they also really help keep the pick ups planted. If they aren't adjusted properly they will unload the rear tire just like 1/1 though. Jeff good Knowledge on wheelie bars unloading the tires on 1/1 cars. We also wound set the wheelie bars/wheels to get up on the tire quicker. Can't apply that here there's no tire to get up on. I am going to take your advice and put them on every build where legal. Rick

That was a great weekend of racing, Gale you should be proud of such a great event. Put me down for the next time and I will get some cars over from England to make it a worldwide event. Congratulations to all the winners. I probably won't be up to the terrific standard of the cars this weekend as I am still a rookie but I will do my best.

I noticed there were a lot of 55-57 Chevys in the semis, I think the secret is out. Tell my crew not to steal the concession stands and bring them back with them. Once again great show Gale.

Wow! Even though I didn't even make the field of 16 in 4G, I followed this event all weekend long. Being this was my 1st NTRA event, I have to say it was great fun to be a small part of it. Gale, you did a fantastic job bringing us the show. Now I've got to get to tuning the little buggers better and work my way up.

Thanks all for the compliments , I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to hosting another! I am sorry for being so late today. I wound up going over to sandfly's pit last night . Man oh man, do those Kiwi fellas know how to party .
As you know, I wanted to do the included Car Show with the racing and I'm sure I'll do it again. It was really a privilege to see these cars up close and to race them. Feeling really special when asked to do some pit work for some of you. Not knowing much but doing it because I was asked .
Okay, the 3 Judges who volunteered their time and expertise were: Kevin - kdog Randy - hilltop Jeff - jjwallace I am soooo-o-o-o glad that they accepted this task when asked to do so. They shared with me how tough it was, with so many outstanding creations, to pick and choose. But they pulled through and when I tallied up their votes today ......... came up with a Best In Show Winner! It was close!
But first we'll present the racing trophies, the racing is what makes it all happen ..... right?
Congratulations Dave! When the going gets tough, the tough get going! Well done!
Congratulations Jeff! That freakin' Pinto is freakin' Amazing! Well done!
Congratulations Rick! Simply Outstanding! Well done!
And now for a little Sponsor recognition; Eagle Racing's items will be distributed as fairly as possible. I doubt I'll roll any dice but will figure something out so as to take me out of the decision making loop and still be fair.
Angry Jeff Racing sent a whole bunch of cool a$$ Body's. I'd keep 'em all if I thought I could get away with it but they will all get distributed amongst you racers!
ecbill, hairycanary and alpink sent these items to get distributed, although the Duster body is already spoken for, I'm including it as a sponsorship item. I made a little plaque for the Sponsors also ....... but forgot to take a photo .
And Good Time Speedway will be sending these stickers back with each of you. I know not all of you participate in the PSO races and such but maybe it will inspire some to do so . The Participant sticker is from what cozee had done in the past and I kinda liked the idea. The nostalgic logos I hope you'll find useful for your track, garage dioramas or what have you. I thought they were cool and wanted to share. I used the tire gauge when I teched this race and never felt compelled to check any further but be aware that they were only designed to be a help.
Well, d-dd-dd-dd- dats all folks! I had an absolute blast. There is lots I could rattle on about, and I probably will later , but do want to Thank each and every one of you for making this event possible! I'll be forever indebted
