Getting the right downforce is important. Too little and you lose traction, too much and it slows you down.

I once put Neo traction magnets in a BSRT Unlimited. The magnets are actually 1/2 the size of a normal BSRT traction magnet and use a plastic filler for the empty space. The chassis lost about 10 MPH, this was a 60 MPH chassis, and about .05 in ET. You could easily run the car on the ceiling with these magnets. Getting the car off my steel stop strips was a chore, had to slide it off, could not pull it directly off without breaking something.

Had a tyco dodge police car in the junkyard. I hijacked a picture to show what the body is supposed to look like.

The junkyard body were working with was a smashed model with no parts (bumpers ,motor, windows ext.). Definitely going for a 2 door. Made a front lower valance for it. After doing some sanding...it started resembling the 73 Roadrunner I got sitting in the garage. Guess I'm going for it! going to shave the front down some to square it off a little.

Doing some adjustments by sanding , it's time to hit it with some primer to see what we need to fix still. After looking at it, the lines on the hood are to long. Will be cutting those back some. Besides some filling around the wheel wells I can live with the rest. I'll get that done and spray another coat of primer...

Sam,
I commend you for doing all that work to save a body. It's looking good so far.
I would have given up on such a wrecked body.

Sam, Next time I scrap a car, or buy a scrapped car at a slot car show for $0.50. I'm forwarding it to you, brother.

There is a lot of work gone into that build the body is looking terrific . The strange thing is that one of the cars that I have built for the next race at Beer Creek, is a very knackered Javelin body out of my junk box. I think that it had been painted by a five year old with a knife and fork instead of a brush .

Hi Dave, You're the third guy that stopped me from modifying this car. Maybe I should just replace the glass and put it aside? Number 43 is molded into the grill. Since when did Richard Petty become a police officer?

You've un-knackered that one quite nicely! Wow!
