Yes that is the one. I would post photos but I have trouble getting them resized from my iPad.

This is what it originally looked like after coming out of my scrap body box. I had started removing the thick paint and found that body was intact and in reasonable condition.

I've had a couple like that...
Thinking I'm scared to see what is under that paint blob. Then to my surprise finding a good body.

When I said I could live with the rest on the roadrunner project I guess I wasn't looking close enough. The rear window area was all wrong. Got that shaped up and back in primer... looking better. something is still off.

The back of the car looks like it got hit with a chop saw. Can't live with that either...

Nope they won't fit any more:-) I found out auto world had made die cast version im going to try and hunt one down. Thinking I might be able to copy (then change to fit) the bumpers and grill from it.

One day too late to throw a Hot Wheels Road Runner in your box. The box is on its way. Next time.

My stubbornness kicks in on this one. It has to be a 73 or 74 model year. The last good years of the roadrunner. The front end bumper and grill go straight across. The 71 and 72 do a wrap around the lights thing. After 74 it looks like they tried to turn the roadrunner into a monte carlo and did a horrible job in my opinion. If you got a 73 or 74 you can put a sold sign in the window.

To the best of my limited knowledge. A 73-74 Road Runner was never offered by Hot Wheels. Auto World might be the only one.
I'm attending a die-cast flea market Saturday July 28th. I can check for you. 40+ vendors.
