Good stuff here Rick! Will that car be making it to Bear Creek this trip? Lovin' that Nomad man! That looks like about the same ratio of powder I used in the cup of my double action airbrush. Thanks for posting. Jeff Thank You ! No itās not going to make this trip hopefully the next list car meeting ? I starting painting cars cuz my tuning was going really bad. The painting didnāt help my tuning at allš I hear you on the tuning Rick! It's pretty amazing how a good tuning session can make you feel versus a bad one. If it's any consolation, I have been struggling in the tuning department as well. Soooo I guess I should start doing some more painting then??

This is a really old casting that I've been saving that I done many many years ago and never painted one. I did this one in Tamiya Candy Lime over a House of Kolor Orionmax silver. The silver under coat don't think did any good cuz in the sun alls you can see is the gold that was in the Candy Lime paint. Been wanting to try this color for awhile and I really like it. My plans are to try some of Bill's flame stencils I've been wanting to try. Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr This is the Jungle Jim Monza I did for the Kiwi Challenge. I painted this one with House of Kolors Kandy Oriental Blue over Orionmax silver. The silver works with this cuz the blue is pretty transparent. I've been trying some different HK products. I've been using there Kandy intensifier a few drops mixed with clear for a long time and have had good results. So I got what they call a carrier to mix it with which is supposed to be the proper way to use the intensifier. To me the carrier is a clear with a different name ? Still learning how to use it ? I goofed on the casting of the Monza I didn't see it until I got color on it. I should of seen it before I cast it but when I widened the body I didn't finish the roof off very good. Still has a slight crease down the middle plus I have a couple paint goofs on the roof to make it more worse. Like they say at 16 MPH going through the lights on fire you'll never see it ? Hopefully it will make it though the lights at any MPH ? This is my trouble car my car from Hell Glade it is gone !!! Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr by rick williamson, on Flickr

Rick. Super nice work! I wish I had your skills. That candy lime green is my favorite Tamiya colour. It's very possible that I may have too many cars that very colour. The downside is it won't shine on it's own without clear coat. 64 Impala. 66 GTO, and a Porsche 904 are just a few. I have a lot more. Cheers, Ken

Man those colors really POP! I just did a Studebaker Pro Mod with a similar green. That Corvette body has always been one of my favorites too! This is one that I did a few years back. Wish I had it back. I do think I have one more body in my stash though. Beautiful work Rick!!

Wonder if the motor in to Monza is a Hemi out of the Christine Plymouth?šµāš« That might explain a few things.

Ken I was inspired by the green cars you posted earlier. You do awesome work. I used the Tamiya in a rattle can sprayed into my airbrush bottle and I canāt remember if I had to thin it or not. But it was shinny before I cleared it. Jeff I like what you did with the Corvette. If my flames come as half as good as yours Iāll be tickled. Bill I forgot about Christine I striped a diecast Christine to cast a few years back and things havenāt been the same since. Not as bad as Daveās Christine. Iāve had it locked in a metal box. I better check. That Jungle Monza has been pissed off ever since the chassis found out I was building it a Monza body with Jungle Jim on it. Allās it kept saying is long burn outs and fires. Plus the big tires has been tearing its guts out in testing didnāt help any. Mike sounds like we are in the same boat ? Down on power against the Mountain Motors. Weāll give hell with our Hill Motors.

I thought while waiting for some race coverage I would share some of my 3D bodies and parts I've been playing around with. This is one of many I've been working on a 69 Camaro Pro Mod with a PSI blower/injector and magneto. I'm still learning and figuring stuff out but making progress. I'll post more pictures of other bodies I'm working on. Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr

That looks really good Rick!! Most of the 3D bodies that I have seen have a texture to them. Yours look like they are pretty smooth. Very promising and what a great body!

Very impressive looking body. Some 3D printed bodies that I have seen have ridges but yours looks smooth.

Thanks guys for the good words. These have the layer lines. Once I get them scaled to where I want them and the right thickness Then I can print them a little finer. It takes longer to print them fine. Adding thickness is giving a hard time some harder than others each part and body seems different. Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr 65 Nova This Body is giving some trouble its pretty rough I need to do some tweaking on it. I got more and there all still in a learning and experimental stage. Trying different techniques and different resins. Gots a lot to learn.
