Sam I hope I did not stress you out. Car count is currently at 99 including PSO and 4GO, + the 2 American Graffiti match race cars, with more to come. I noticed all 14 Unlimiteds showed up for this race already which has grown a lot since I first ran it years ago when I mostly raced myself. Should be a real speed battle with all those cars. I will post pictures of each class Thursday night when hopefully all the cars have arrived. At that time please check and make sure your cars are in the right class. I used a color coding system for this race so I am hoping all is correct.

Yes they are legal in SS. See my message on a stock class for my next race which would not allow any of those chassis but would be OK for SS. The Viper and BSRT motor magnets are of course whatever you install in them but the DRs are supposed to be poly. They check like ceramic however. The optional DR GT chassis has better magnets that check in the Polymer range. This is that gray area where we have a chassis that has weak poly motor magnets but the rules for Stock, Super Stock, and Comp all specify ceramic grade. Not everyone has the means to properly or accurately check magnet strength....not to mention while they are still in the chassis. We have to draw the line somewhere and it starts with the Stock Inline class. The DR1 GT would not be allowed in anything but Super Comp according to the rules. It is unfortunate but that's how it is. Allowing the Stock DR1 in Super Stock on paper isn't allowed but BSRT, Viper, etc are using molded magnets anyway which is poly magnet dust glued together I believe. People always get their feelings hurt when we start talking about this kind of stuff because "it's not fair". But it is a gray area that falls on these types of chassis. There has always been an argument about SG+ being allowed in Stock and Super Stock because of the tweaked brushes and timing adjustment. But once again it's a gray area. It would be very difficult to ban the SG+ platform because they are so popular and inexpensive compared to other chassis. So to clarify as Dave said the DR1 would be allowed in Super Stock but the DR1 GT would only be allowed in Super Comp as per NTRA rules. Looking forward to the new rules package. Pure stock sounds like a good idea. Thinking I may focus my inline efforts In the pure stock, stock and super stock classes.

There are some terrific looking cars out there and the crowd in the stand look excited already. This is going to be a great race meeting. I can’t wait.

dynomike, file an official "claim". rather, maybe a "request for search". do it online or via phone. every time I do that, mysteriously, packages show up next day. might not have been scanned for a week and last scan was California, all of a sudden it is at my door, or the door of whom I shipped it too.

UK cars are scheduled to arrive in Knoxville tomorrow morning. Fingers-crossed the UPS guy finds the correct address - he's had a very long journey from the south coast of England.
