I think that a points based t-jet gasser series would be welcome. It would give an extra chance for members that have not been successful in the list races. This would of course mean extra work for the people who put on these wonderful race meetings for us all to enjoy but, it could be their choice whether or not to run the class at an event. I for one would definitely enjoy taking part. Pancakes are my favourite chassis to play with although they can be extremely frustrating little things at times . If it should start I think how the point are awarded should be finalised by the administrators. It could be run on an annual basis but like the list races with one car being entered per racer.

I'd just like to be able to wind my own arm. I'm new at it and may not even be good at it. But there is a joy to see it work. If I just put new wire on it makes it a custom wind? I would think a custom wind would be a double wind , timing adjustments or winding the wire any way besides side to side would be custom. I like to be cheap when possible. Even when it takes more time than it's probably worth. I have a roll of wire I can wind over a 100 arms with. That's a whole lot cheaper than buying arms. Worth it or not ,time wise is another question. The arms I've been practicing on are around 5.3 ohm when done. I use the same chassie to test them in. Autoworld 3gear stock only the arm changed. In the same chassie, I have tried the mean greens out that I have. They measure in the 5.8ohm range. All of the arms in that chassie ran in .8's et on my track. 1000ft 18v. If we say use 37, 38, or 39awg and must ohm 5. No custom wrapping (such as double wind) no custom timing. I don't see why we couldn't. This place to me seems to be built on honesty. I would put the faith on to another racer that they are staying in the rules. It's the same as trusting they are staying above the 5 ohm on a purchased arm. That is why I like super comp. Not for the magnets or a tricked out triple wrap or something. I'm just cheap. I understand people that have never tried are probably thinking no way. All I can tell you is there is no magic. You take a piece of wire and literally wrap it around...and around...and around... Sam I do support your Krazy Need For Speed, There is a lot to consider going forward, And at most the Greatest Respect for our Friendship with each othe going forward, There are a lot of tedious obstacles going forward. That is why I sounded like a broken record with you and Jeff Graybeal about at least a 13 foot shutdown. Sam, I've taken two days to try and put something together that would help bond us all together as Dragon π Mates Young and π€ Older " Yep Dave632 is π€ Older But Younger and Fun at Heart, Hell of a π± pool player, I found myself sitting down on the game, I swear Dave could have played all night until the sun π came up. πinistauri

Good Day Dragon π Mates, Members of a Great Friendship of Drag fellows. Greatest Respect for Our Race Masters, NTRA OFFICIAL'S Are like our Five Star π π π π π General's. I'm sharing this only from a limited understanding As I have taken part in assisting at Dave632 Tennessee Smokey Mountain Drag Event, I see a Overwhelming situation, for A Race Master and Track Owners. In my observation The Track's Were not at the time β° built in a way to safely host A High breed of Supercars, Especially Pancake style that achieving great speeds, Who would have ever thought a 3mph ThunderJet π€ Alpink How fast-? The Pancakes do not have the capability of stoping like a inline supercars. believe me they still end up in the catch box, Nearly going through the wall. In my frist year as a member, I used to ask Dave, If He could make my supercar that would beat the record set by Steve Geary and Al Pink, I had thought π€ then to be one of the 100mph fellows. I only know 2 Greats One of our Own i Greatly Respect, "Alpink" The other was a good acquaintance But threw me under a freight train. There is real serious reasons the inline supercars are only run at 20 volts, I'm almost positively certain that with a extremely long Drag Track and proper shutdown, Of 13 feet or more with metal braking inserts, It still is terribly destructive on your cars, Unless your rear tires are lifted on shutdown. At Times at Dave's I thought I'd end up in a Ambulance going to the ER. When it comes to Pancake π€ Your Dragonsπ do not shut down π€ͺ "THE WALL" Will Eat your body and Chassie. Jeff and Sam This is why I recommend 13 foot shutdown at the very least. Again As I see our Our Senior Race Masters NTRA OFFICIAL'S Trying to Compliment our "Need For Speed" There are complications and consequences Most of the Race Masters π Track's can not be added to, In some cases you would have to build on to the house, install a Porthole through the wall or Garage and have a shutdown Track outside. And I sure would not park a nice spcial interest classic Chevy Pickup anywhere in sight of those little monsters, They are faster then a speeding π And for there size, more powerful then a locomotive. Just think of The extremely expensive cost π° π΅ And lots of Sweat Equity. It would take to make the Necessary changes, We would all have to come together and raise founds for such a change. Myself I believe and have supported the Furthering Of building Armature's Spending much time corresponding with Scale Auto Gary and Nicole Beedle about there Research along with Tony Porcelli Research Slottech's founder Passed in 2015, Tony is Held by Most as the Greatest American Armature Builders Myself excluded. Not to go into much details, Around a year ago myself talking with Harden Creek Terry Flynn says, That high speed Racing for us few Dragon π Racers is "OVER" and there will be a new standard Of around 40mph, Even though He has built some serious supercars From Scale Auto/ Gary Beedle's Armature's Steve Daniel of Georgia And Anthony Trudeau,Of just a few I know of, Terry sold me one I had to buy it because it had a Gary Beedle's 31 Titan Armature in it, Had to promise not to take it apart Fingers crossed π€ frist thing i did was take it apart and make changes, "DANG" I still can't beat Dave632 Last 2 races only second place, I know how to beat Dave next time, I warm up the cars and the power supply is at my fingertips, I thing 24 volts should make a new record π The reason he says this is , There is nobody left to build these Dragon π Hearts (Armature's) My words "The Dragons Heart" Most Armature's can't pump such Energy, Also that He would go broke with the less then a handful of Krazy high speed Nuts like myself, π€ͺπ€ it seems that this disease is catchy. I Corresponded with Gary Beadle, About Our Own "Gnome" Jeff Graybeal and our research, Also if they would balancing our Armature's, This kind of machine is very costly but very important in professional Armature building, There are many hidden Master Armature builders, "deepest Keep Secrets" like Tony Porcelli have taken them to the after life. Myself have Search for like a Pirate's Treasure for those "Secrets" This is a very difficult subject because of the early slot car Wars between the Beedle's, Lincoln's, Russel's, Porcelli's and others. Sad but seriously true, It would be nice to write a book π on this hidden historical Mysteries, Even Tyco was a American Master pice by Patrick Denis, from N.J who lives in Florida now. Low ohm Spinner & Titan also the old spuds, Are my Favorite's So much for My going on about our endeavor to continue on into the 21st century as the future Drag Racing Pioneer's. I have tried to touch lightly on Subjects of importance, That we might have a better understanding of each others desires. Always Having The Greatest Respect for those we can be Greatful to for our Achievements in enjoyment π Our Senior Race Master's NTRA OFFICIAL'S "Sam Beckworth" Thank you For this Journey together in Friendship. They continue giving us This Great opportunity to Race our Dragon's π Thank you again SRK,Sam Beckworth (aka) Owner & Founder "Race Mate" JJ Wallace-NTRA OFFICIAL Race Master Dave632 Vince-NTRA OFFICIAL Race Master And or Senior Members support since 2007 From πinistauri

I hear yha Fin. Will save those arms for unlimited races.
I was referring more to just putting new wire on a mean green. No tricks over 5ohm and roll.

Mike as you have noted running the Unlimiteds of any kind is not for everyone. It increases cost quite a bit and it can be a problem for the Racemaster when it come to shutdown and if there is an accident it can be devastating to the Car. Remember your yellow roadster which literally broke the body. Remember I keep the voltage down to 20 and these cars are still running 50-70 MPH. I have not had to much trouble stopping those cars with my setup. Pancakes on the other hand will be harder to stop since they do not have the downforce which metal stop strips apply. No current problems with them in the 30-40 MPH range however. As mentioned some parts for the Super cars are hard to get. Armatures for hitting those speeds and ETs are scarce if any can be found. We have found some 1 ohm inlines that are readily available where the cars still hit 40-50 MPH and they are not to expensive at the current price of 35.00. This might be the answer to a high speed class. Several guys have recently come close to beating me in Unlimited Inline, Mike being one of them. I have to say I have been lucky as quite a few wins were in the thousandths which could be caused by a little dust on the track.

Dave It is nice to have a greater understanding of the extremely difficult task of hosting a Event. Myself spending just the main race day, As I sat there while you run each set of cars, Warm each one up, Clean the tires, Check the runway every time, I wonder why that is π€― Mmm i ones set my phone on the trackπ€ͺ Then you Take the white sheets of printed out information on each event sector back to the computer π₯ To upload, For all to view and understand, Along with π· Photo's. My mind was extremely exhausted looking at the pile of π¦ boxes, And thinking of the weeks of preparation, Unloading all the cars and keeping them all straight, I have to write on the bottoms of my cars just to remember what class and ohm π€ͺ. Remembering that day, I thought, They all have to be packaged up and sent back also, I feel it very important to share my shot experience because "Before" I had no understanding of this big undertaking that I would not what the responsibilities of. I look back and Al Pink hopefully will testify, That I bothered Him throughout His Event, I was very New at all this. I apologize Alpink π€ And Gale Sharp Thank you both for welcoming me. πinistauri

OK, so it looks like we have a majority interested in the t-jet Gasser. I appreciate all the input and I think we might need some more about points?

I'd think so many points depending on where you finish all the way to 1 point for last place. That way we can have 0 point for a did not finish race.
In those points first place don't necessarily have to be top point. It could be awarded in brackets.
We could also give points by e.t. say you finish in .80 you get 2 points .70 3 point , .60 4 points or something like that.
No show drop a point or 2. Of course after the one free ride.

Something else to take in... looks like intrest in inline cars. Me included.
A possible answer is after we finish this year out we shake up the outlaw cars.
Drop the 3gear and make it inline. Keep the 4gear the same and add the gasser race.
Just a thought

I'm game for any points series. I am still in the crawling stage on drag building but will be an "also ran" for as long as it takes .Guess what I'm saying is I would be a consistent participator in series racing. All for Gasser class maybe replacing 3 gear outlaw and adding a mid level/class inline.

Dropping the existing lists that have been ongoing for years does not seem right to me. This is what I would like, DROP THE LIST RACING COMPLETELY and run a 3GO and 4GO points series, with the same rules we currently are using since many of us have prepared cars for that. then we could add a Gasser and an Inline series to them. The list challenge has always been a nightmare for me to run anyway. I can run 4 regular races in the time it takes me to run one list race class.
