OK everyone, good! I like the feedback. I respect the Racemaster's concerns about including too much at one time, however, the points series doesn't need to be run at every event and could even be included as one of the classes being run at any given event. please, let us NOT overthink this. I am not sure how the list racing plays into any of this, it wasn't my intention to meddle with list racing. I have been contacted about concerns that the list racing will change. I understand the popularity of list racing and it's place in the hearts of many members of NitroSlots. finally, it won't break my heart or hurt my feelings if points series never happen. it came up in discussion based on the two race series that will finalize at Jeff's event later this month and I took the idea and ran with. certainly, I have been advised, I could have brought this up "behind closed doors" and I apologize for stepping on anyone's toes. No toes stepped on and this is a fantastic idea! I might be to blame for the List racing being brought up. I mentioned it with my Inline suggestion but only referencing the Pancake aspect of it. My apologies for that. Somewhere after that it turned into something else. I'm all in on the Gasser Points Series and I will assist in any way if needed. Your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated Sir.

Seems like keeping the lists as they are is what most racers want. I have been participating in the lists for a long time and I will continue to do so. I already have plans for my race in May which should be a fairly large event. I will not start any new series at that time but I will join in if anyone wants to start one after that. Yes Sir.....you are going to have your hands full just like I am . I'm chomping at the bit to get started on my Unlimited builds for that one!

I know everyone loves their Pancakes so I might be out in the wind with this, it would be cool if a class of inline was run at every race. Giving me 6 months to work super stocks may or may not been a good idea.

I like that idea. The Inlines are very popular sales items today. Only AW still makes new Pancakes. I have pretty much featured Inlines at my races. Therefore I rarely get to race them other than the Unlimited class at my own race. I like the Pancakes but I would like to do some Inline racing also.

On the topic of inlines.: Looking forward to the new stock class and hoping we will see a greater variety of brands at our races.
It had gotten to the point that we pretty much had to run Super G+ derivatives to be competitive. Personally, I find the SG+ a PITA to work on. Never liked their end bell/brush system.
Looking forward to working on some new platforms and giving Tyco another shot. Looks like the biggest hurdle will be finding arms for brush barrel motors.

It seems like nobody has mentioned the possibility of the points races being stand alone events. We don’t necessarily have to run them in with class and list races. If some points races were to be run as stand alone events it might be a good opportunity for some of us who have never or seldom held an event. Might be a good way for some folks to get their feet wet. Especially with all of the new tracks being built and timing systems being installed. That might also keep the points races from becoming a burden on the current race event hosts.
These could be scheduled as fillers between major events. Since we’ll already have the cars built, they should not require a lot of prep from race to race.

Good idea Bill. It would be a good idea for someone who has not run an event before to start with just one class and a point series race would be a good one to start with.

But I don't know that we can count on new people stepping up until they are ready. At this point there are still only 4 regular Racemasters and it has been that way for several years now. Dave and I run 2 events per year to help fill in the gaps. I completely agree with you Bill! This would present a great opportunity for anyone wanting to give running a race a try. Once again....I will offer I assistance to anyone needing help doing that. We could use a couple more proxy tracks.

I would be more than willing to offer whatever assistance I could. Although, Jeff and KiwiDave taught me everything I currently know about running an event. They are the "go to guys" for putting one at ease and helping one glide thru the experience.
Just do it! You'll never regret it!
