This one is a 3D printed Malibu wagon. It will be getting a 4gear chassis. I've decided on a base color, but I'm trying to decide if I want flames or not. Flamemasks website seems to still be down for maintenance, and no reply to my email asking if they have a date for coming back online. Primer and wet sanding is pretty much done. Screw post and saddle mount are installed.

Those bodies are pretty nice. Bought a few too. Tried filling the ripples with high build primer. That works but seems like it added a bit of weight to the body.
One of our own, Hairy Canary can make any of those bodies. He can modify the dimensions to make the bodies more compatible with slot car chassis

I used a regular sanding primer to smooth it out. Prime, wet sand, prime, wet sand, rinse and repeat. Literally. I have one spot on the pass rear quarter to check, looked like some sort of vertical gouge.

Flame templates from ecbill came in today. They look awesome! I hope I can do them some justice on the Malibu.

Yellow Vega is nekkid now. I believe it has an original mean green arm in it. It actually runs pretty well for having such weak magnets.

I had not even considered it. I don't have any materials and precious little knowledge about resin casting. I've seen a couple of videos on YouTube University so I have the gist of it and understand the basics but that's as far as it goes. Let's see how it looks when I finish with the goop first.

Time for an update on the Vette. The goop dried enough that I could cut it off the chassis. A little touch-up on the inside and that's drying now. I hit the sides with an Emory board to straighten the edges, and got to thinking something was missing. I can't copy Bill Hall's car exactly, so I'm adding a front air dam, splitter, or whatever it's called. Glued in place and the first bit of goop is drying now. Now it goes to the back burner again to simmer for a bit. I have a couple of cars to finish up for the Texas race. Have to hit when the inspiration strikes.
