FALL NATIONALS? ??SAYYYYYYYY WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTT?   This event has been in planning for a couple of months already..........!!!!!!!!!!!!! The PRO MOD invitational is not exclusive. To be invited you just have to acknowledge and be willing to accept the cost of racing in this class-it's not everyone's cup of tea! We may have 8 or 16 entries. Either number is fine ( or more) Note also that PRO MOD is to be run as a SHOOTOUT event. This means it will be run BEFORE the usual class eliminations, which ensures that the SPORTSMAN CATEGORIES remain "king" of NTRA. RATT RODD will be very open as to body style......ALTEREDS, SHOEBOXES, GASSERS......pretty much anything but Funny Cars, Pro Mods, and Dragsters. Rules will follow, they are basically JL/AW based cars. Cars need not be true RATTTTS ! Of course, we would like to see Ratty cars, rust cars, Suede cars, and any old school appearing rods! Fuzzy dice, pinstripes and flaming skulls are optional wear! Perfect rods are welcome too...... but give us that OLD SCHOOL LOOK, WILL YA? FUNNY CARS are to be raced on the GASSER CHASSIS!! The MEAD BROS. Funny Car bodies are the basic unit of the class, but home brewed FUNNY CARS, AFX'ers, Blown VOLKSWAGENS, Doorslammer- removed-top- ROADSTERS ETC ARE ALL WELCOME.....CUT OFF DATE FOR THESE NOSTALGIA FUNNY CARS IS 1964-1978

OH TROY
You just had to tell to world that DEMON had a chevy engine
in it . I was going to ask you if you had some MOPAR bodies
in the works too. But now I think they may have chevy engines
in them. Well thats ok I went to my shop and gave my 72 DEMON a hug and told it that would never happen to it.

Hi Tiger....... er Demon ;D, here is a shot of the motor in the Demon to show the plumbing for the twin turbos. Notice it doesn't even have a modern crank triggered ignition system. It's still running the old HEI style distributor in the rear. Couldn't get the guys to pull the rags off for the photo   |

 ok boys and girls da big ragu will be runnin one or two at the fall nats just thinking about the one or ones i will be in oh by the way tom (aka demon 340 got me thinkin about my screen name and i found it fittin that it's time for change change is good right so kevin said once da big ragu so that works you can call me any thing but not late to the starting line or just da big ragu thanks kevin for the help ) DA BIG RAGU NOW THATS DONE oh boy can you hear the smack talk at the fall nats kevin are you goin to start this one?

Hey,Hey,..Guys Scottman is ready for action ,Put me in for Funny Car...And Ratt Rod.I just called my Crew cheif and the rest of the Boys ,and told them we got Cars to build and Long Hours til my rides are done,LOL !!!!
Can we Have explaination of the Ratt Rod Rules?? as well as Rules for the other glasses except Gasser.

Rat Rod
J/L or A/W chassis, no cutting or sanding
Stock armatures
Stock Ceramic motor magnets
Allow 2 traction dot magnets
Braided pick up shoes and wheelie bars are allowed
Slip on silicone tires
These are the basic rules for the chassis Scott. John will post the official ones soon. This will be a fun inexpensive class to run.

First car will be $6 for each person. If you have more than one car then it will be $1 extra per car. The entry fee will cover shipping using Priority service with Insurance and delivery confirmation.
The test and tune is a separate event and will cost the same amount, $6 first car, $1 extra for each car.

rules will be up today for Ratt rodd......Sam covered it......basically...................
think stock JL/AW car add wheeliebars, traction mags, braided pickups, and slip o silicones and you got it..
As stated in the flyer, Funny cars will use the GASSER chassis, but allow a bigger tire..... specifics, later today or tomorrow.
This dual use of chassis design is something we will continue to incorporate, as it allows a racer to use the same chassis for different events, without need to build anew.
