I had a great (but occasionally frustrating ) time prepping cars for the Gasser race, and certainly learned a lot about green arms, braids, shunts, and wheelie bars. Turns out it really is rocket science.
So now I'm wondering: Any thoughts from NTRA on when the next mail-in race will be held, and what the class will be? I'm already behind schedule . . .
Thanks! Rick V.

Not sure on when but I'd like to see MM/PS & Nostalgia Pro Stocks on the same bill.
What classes would you guys like to see at the next race?

Racers,
I went looking for the BB/FC, Fuel Altered, and Nostalgia Pro Stock rules, but couldn't find them on the board. Would someone please point me toward them?
Thanks, Rick V.

For the MM/PS just go to the right of the post building a ISRA MM/PS JEGS car.

Nope, nothing there on BB/FC, Fuel Altered, or Nostalgia Pro Stock rules -- that I can find, anyway. Maybe I need the double-secret password and NTRA decoder ring? <g>
Thanks,Rick V.

Here is brief description of the classes. BB/FC are the exact same chassis rules that are used for Gassers with the obvious body change. Yeah I couldn't find the rules either. NP/S Never officially had any rules for this class but I know we were talking along the lines of the Rat Rod chassis with bodies in the era of 1968 to 1979. Rat rules. Basic motor/ chassis build of these rules for NP/S. www.psychoslots.com/index.cgi?board=scl&action=display&thread=1217Altered No rules yet. Suggestions? I think they should be wild.

Well, it seems like BB/FC would be an easy choice, since we could just rebody the existing Gassers. Might encourage more participation, and at least the guys who raced in the Gasser Nats have a baseline now.
Nostalgia Pro Stock looks like fun, but I'd seriously suggest opening up the class to Aurora T-jet chassis as well. The JL chassis are just not very good, IMHO, and not worthy of Pro Stock <g>. With the maximum rear tire diameter, it should be legal to open up the fenders for tire clearance or else they'll end up looking like angry stink bugs.
Fuel Altered? I dunno, run 'em at 48 volts, no wheelie bars, and stand back.
Thanks, Rick V.

Fuel Altered on JL's at max volts for the track and NTRA supplied hard rubber rear tires. Mandatory on-off switch controllers. The best car probably wouldn't win but it shure would be fun to watch! All driver's would be seated and required to put one hand on the arm of their chair aka Wild Willie. Fun!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The rear tire max diameter would change for Pro Stock from what is posted on the Rat rules. NP/S is not a class yet so everything is open for discussion on the chassis.
Just throwing ideas out on what everybody would like to run at the next event.
Rat and Altereds? Altereds using the Gasser chassis?
NP/S and BB/FC

MM/PS and NP/S at Psycho Sam's. While the chassis aren't the greatest, there are more 68-72 Johnny Lightning Pro Stock style bodies available and since everybody has some, why not make Nostalgia Pro Stock a stock JL class? Wheelie bars, slip-on's and other changes could still be debated. MM/PS are a serious build all by themselves, maybe make the NP/S class a simpler build to make it easier to get both done for the race. Thoughts?

had decent entry numbers for gassser event, but many could not make it,mm/ps was fast & fun,I have no car but the race commintary was fun on the computer,I think it needs to be run . also Np/s but use T-Jetsuper stock rules, add hood scoops, braid pick-up ,shunt wire,no wheelie bars,no traction magnets.
