Hey Ragu, The Gasser race is up next. Hope you can make that event.
I'll be posting the Gasser event details along with the sign up thread mid week.

Great weekend of racing, guys!! NTRA is alive and well, thanks to the participation, support and sportsmanship of all YOU guys.
This is a blast, and is something I used to envision as a kid playing with my T jets. A real National Organization with real rules etc. Ntra so far has been a hoot. Of course there are growing pains, but that goes with the territory. In the end, it is the cooperation of lots of guys, known to each other primarily, if not solely due to the advent of the internet. Very few of the Group organizers have ever met in person, and even less of the competitors!
As for this Weekend, it looked to be a very clean and orderly event. Rick V and Matt (440GTX) Again were dominant. It's good to have a couple of leaders, we will have fun chasing em down. My best advice is, learn from them. As a wise old man once told me "PPPPPP" ;D(proper preparation prevents piss-poor perfromance) ;D. Obviously, these guys have the knowledge and PREPARE well for race day. We'll keep bugging them for any speed secrets they may have.
Back to Polymer magnets..............They remain legal in Pro Mod only as of this time. Formalized rules for the newly emerging 4-Gear Funny Car class will be forthcoming, but will only codify what has already been set forth. Looks like an interesting and fun addition.
Once again we want to thank Ninja for the always labor intensive task of scorekeeping. As entrants, and reporters, we can help him by being consistent in referring to specific cars, i.e. if 440GTX is the entrants name, we can be careful to refer to that moniker throughout the competition. ( Not Fred or Bill or car number 22 for instance. The alternative is to always use the car entrant number in every referrence. It's not a complaint, and something I wouldn't have thought of til we started trying to keep tallies. We all know that race weeken is labor intensive, and is a labor of love. I think this race was pretty much 'gripe free' which is refreshing and always a relief to the hosting group.
We are surving into our third year now, and it is chiefly because you guiys choose to cooperate and execrcise good sportmanship.
The quality of the appearance of the cars continues to impress. Keep up the good work, and see you at the tree. The Gasser nationals Cometh!

Matt, I didn't see your question till now, but I can easily answer that, as there are several reasons why we use a Pro Tree for events like this, some of which have already been covered but I'll do so again just so you (and everyone) knows that wasn't a wild idea at the last minute. #1. We use the Professional/Pro Sportsman qualifying /seeding as taken from the NHRA, and... #2. The NHRA uses a ProTree for that class unless my source within the NHRA led me astray.... #3. I wanted to cut down on potential red light losses/reruns and a ProTree does that. #4. From my 1:1 drag racing expereince, I prefer a Pro Tree and I do in all scales of slot drag racing, so based upon items #1 & #2 above, I made the call to use a ProTree.
In my opinion, it worked well doing so. And no, I wasn't offended by your question, I ask questions ALL the time myself, just ask Kdog!
