Al , Have you drag raced ulimited inlines ? Was thinking something close to stock gear ratio would help slow cars. Kind.of in a quandary........ use 8/22's in MM/PS.......... was thinking 7/20 , then 7/24 for braking.......... just don't know. Any ideas on tire size out there........ Wizard makes a silifoam they call a drag tire....... think they are .480 & .490's. Is this what they are ment for ? Think .450-.460 is the range used most for MM/PS.
If anybody has the info...... I think a thread on stock tire sizes for various chassis would be a good reference thread. Unless just putting a slip-on on stock wheels it would be nice to know what sizes will.work as a starting point.
......... Peter

Pceng, you are going to want the strongest traction magnets you can find for your unlimited inline builds, and that will also require the hardest tire like Wizzard"s neo tires. The stronger traction magnets will help more then gear ratio for stopping. When I say stronger traction magnets I'm talking stronger then poly 8 grade. WAY STRONGER

Be going with t-mags in storm extreme chassis. Not going to rail sucker with this. This ones for grins...... whatever happens.
Do you know what might be a common gear ratio used for this ? ....... Peter

I am running some fairly hard tires on the faster cars. I will have to measure the size, fairly narrow, but they seem to work pretty well with strong traction magnets. I have been going up and down with gear ratios and have not found a sweet spot yet.

No name for the track yet. I actually stole that name from some full size races, just added Tennessee. How about Tennessee outlaw drags?

So, let me get this streight, the outlaw inline will be run at 20v and not 26v? And there is or isn't a ohm restriction? And have you thought about airbags for the shutdown? I believe there is a thread regarding the use of airbags. I only have a 20" shutdown but seems to work ok with airbags even at 36v.

Believe 20v is right........... no min ohms.

Shutdown will be 7' when the race comes about. I think speeds will still be near 40 mph. I will have the shutdown problem solved by the time the race arrives. Air bags sound interesting and I will try to find the post on that.

TENNESSEE TARMAC TERRORS Outlaw & Bracket Racing INAUGURAL EVENT Like the outlaw and bracket racing inaugural event part, sounds good. Not crazy about Tarmac terrors. Will probably stick with Tennessee Outlaw drags.

The Outlaw inlines will be going a lot faster then 40mph, the top MM/PS inline cars are already at the 40mph mark at 26 volts. Get ready to catch some bullets in that shutdown. Also you should only use one power supply for both lanes since it is impossible to regulate the power between the lanes when uses two different sources. I can't wait to see this Tennessee Shakedown. (not a bad idea for event name either)

The current power supply I have regulates extremely well even when amps are jumping all over the place. I will however check this out and if there is a problem I can add both in parallel. Even now however both lanes seem to be slightly different for different cars in mph and ET.
