Raceday is just over a week away and I have already started receiving cars. Please do not rely on "Next Day" or "2 Day" shipping. I'm getting excited!! |

It looks like there will be plenty of Unlimited 4g cars coming to make it into it's own Class!!
Guys that is SUPER COOL to me! As anyone who attempted to build one of these little monsters knows it is not an easy task. It's challenging....fun....and potentially rewarding. But most certainly frustrating!
Those who did not get theirs built and for those who did.....I will be running these again in 2021 so keep working on them. They are going to be a blast! Sign Up sheet has been changed. If I left anybody out just let me know. I will know when the cars get here though and will get anyone I missed on the list. |

I'm getting pumped. The weather has gotten cooler and I've got that Fall feeling. Perfect for some slot car drag racing! I've committed several days to running the race. So I will try to give everyone a good show. Is everybody as ready for this one as I am? I hope so......

The Bear Creek Dragway pits have filled up quickly! Only 5 racers left to arrive with less than a week before Raceday. I will start unpacking cars this weekend and posting arrival pics after that. I'm getting pumped. The weather has gotten cooler and I've got that Fall feeling. Perfect for some slot car drag racing! I've committed several days to running the race. So I will try to give everyone a good show. Is everybody as ready for this one as I am? I hope so......

Oh ya im ready and waiting, as a matter of fact i was in such a tare that i didn't put a list of what classes the cars are to run in so here we go the two list cars you should reakinize, and the dragster is for 4gear super comp , the chrome 69 vet is for the super stock challenge with Pete and the trick camaro along with the AJR t bird runs in the inline super comp . sorry for any confusion, my unlimited stayed at the house,it still continues to make passes but the crown and pinion come un meshed during the shut down ,simply taking the body off and turning the armature in reverse will re meshe the gears and it will make another good hit it was running mid .300 on 20-21 volts will continue working on it if anyone has or can get or help me locate or instructions on hobing it myself.......... A 15 TOOTH METAL CROWN GEAR please pm me . Good luck everyone should be some interesting results

Gnome I have not been able to find any metal 15T crown gears anywhere.
Maybe someone knows how to make them, I do not.

My cars left yesterday should be there Tuesday ? It seems I’ve become 4 GEAR CHALLENGED🤪 I couldn’t get a 4 gear anything to do anything !!! Everything I touched went bad real bad. My Aces Wild Willy’s 4GO didn’t make it. I got one 4G half A$$ to get down the track. I got my 4G Super Comp AA/FA barely in the mid .6’s I figured those cars should be somewhere in the .5’s ? At one point in testing I ran some .570’s 27 mph and it went down hill from there. I spent a ungodly amount of time and a huge scrap pile of 4G parts. It took away my tuning and building time from the other cars. And my attempt at the 4G unlimited went on hold while trying to get the others done. I’m scared to death to go back to building that Evil Little Beast ! So I sent my neglected 2 match race cars, 2 inlines, 1 4G SC and my PSO car.

I took the easy way out. I stole the Chassis out of the former top of the 4G outlaw list Jungle Jim car and put it in the Altered. It really liked the 24 volts hitting a .56 at about 25 MPH and from past experience I left it alone which showed a lot of self control or something. Don't know how it will hold up but we will see. I entered a new car into the 3G Pro Street Outlaws for this race which will have to start at the bottom. It also was flying, but at 20 volts, it was hitting some .57s.

****ATTENTION**** ****ATTENTION****The pits have filled up fast! The only spots left are all the way in the back forty. But there's a lot of big oak trees back there for shade  . Only 4 racers left to show up...I know two are on the way...one of those is a last minute entry....another will be hand delivered on Thursday....and one I haven't heard from. Lots of generous Members out there!! Your generosity is greatly appreciated as always!! I've spent the last 2 evenings unpacking and inventorying cars and I will start taking a few pictures tomorrow. I think I will do arrival pics this time but no Qualifying pics. To do both is too time consuming. There will be plenty of racing pics though with some slow motion videos worked in. I will not be giving out trophies for this meeting, but there will be some Top Eliminator winnings! I'm getting more and more pumped by the minute. We are now 2 days away from Raceday!!

Looking forward to the action. Have fun Jeff, I know it is a ton of work to put one of these events on but racing the cars is a blast. There are always several
surprises that occur during the racing, some good some bad. I had the worst wreck I ever had at my last race when a tire and rim came off a car and it leaped 3 feet
in the air.

Sjracer is now in the house and that completes the arrivals......I think.
There is one other racer left, but I'm not sure he is sending anything because I haven't heard from him since sign up. If they do show up, I will race them. But I am moving forward as if everyone is here. I am a little behind from where I wanted to be, but no worries.......I have 5 days to get this done and that is plenty of time. Work loaded me up for the last two days because they knew I was going to be off till Tuesday. So I didn't get as much done the last few evenings. I am finishing getting the track and garage set up for the race tonight.
I will post a tentative race schedule tomorrow morning followed by Qualifying of the Super Comp classes. Unlimited 4 gear will not be Qualified due to potential wear and tear....with the emphasis on "tear"! I will do a random draw for ladder placement. Anyway that is where we are at right now.

It is Raceday at the 2020 NTRA Texas Nationals!!Track temperature is a cool dry Fall like 70deg which should mean these cars will be making some horsepower. Bear Creek Dragway is tuned up and ready to see some cars make passes for the next 3 - 4 days.
Track specifications:
- Maxx Trax 1/64 scale 1000' timed
- Trackmate DP3000HO Timing system with sensors at 60', 330' and 100'
- (2) 0 - 30vdc / 10amp Mastech power supplies (one for each lane)
- 3' shut down area into a pillow box bullet catcher
- Parma controllers or Simultaneous switch
** All cars will be run on the switch for this weekends event**
