You use the steel to make the track and the cars ride over it.(just for shutdown section)

Peter, I am running a combined NTRA Pro Mod/Pro Stock race. A 3 class bracket race if there are enough entries. Street, Pro, and Super Pro separated by ET. This is how they do it in full size racing. I will qualify all the cars 3 times then post the results giving the members a chance to give me a Dial in. If they do not I will put it in for them on a best guess. Then an anything goes outlaw race with 3 classes. T jet, AFX 3 gear, and inline. Only rule, American full bodied cars. Thinking about entering the inline outlaw, couple of questions. 1. Do they have to be hard bodies? 2. Are all wheel drives allowed? Thanks JW

Inline outlaw is pretty much an all out class for closed body American cars, any year, Lexan OK. Should be close to 1/64 scale but there will be some leeway even there. As long as it looks like an American car of some kind it is good to go. No rule against all wheel drive. Personally I have never seen one. It should have a great reaction time.

Done it with t-jets but some time ago... never thought of inline conversion. Love to see pics if possible. What kind of chassis did you use? ........ Peter

There are pictures of earlier versions posted in the "chop shop" section under the "all wheel drive" thread. probably going with 440x2 and P-3 platform.

I have found the Tyco stock chassis to be the fastest and quickest stocker.

I have found the Tyco stock chassis to be the fastest and quickest stocker. Have you tried the Mega G yet? It's way faster and I just finished 2nd at a local race with one in Nov. I finished 2nd do to a red light in the final.

The day I got my Mega G I was able to run in .690's on my 15 foot track at 24 volts. That was bone stock including stock tires, all I did was break in the gears and give it a little oil.

I finished 2nd do to a red light in the final. I've found Tyco to be quickest of the low end (for lack of a better word) chassis types. Intresting about the Mega G's....... perhaps the voltage wakes them up. I've never run them at 24. Highest has been 22v walpak. The three I have are the slowest of any inline at any voltage up to 22. Only thing they are way faster than are stock 4g's. Tom, curious about the race voltage. Was is it higher , lower than the 24 ?

Voltage was at Least 24 volts since power supply was 2 car batters in parallel. My other stock inline I entered at the event was a Tyco 440 and it was way slower. The Tomy Mega G was way faster by at least 2 tenths or more.

two 12 volt batteries ( 990 CCA each) in SERIES for a total of 24+ volts. huge tap wires(4 gauge common and two 8 gauge from the controller stations) all the way past the finish line. yep, more IS more! LOL
