Before next season begins I'm going to be finishing up some on going projects. Starting some that I've been wanting to. Kind of enjoying just playing around again. The first is another coupe a 32 Ford going on a Mege G. Body is done....... motor almost...put on blower belt and the blower is being bolted down now (glue is drying). Started puting pieces together for radiator/grill. Going to try for one that can be cast. Should have it done within week. Will post pics when done.
Anybody else doing anything they've been putting off ? Something just for fun or that you've been wanting to ? Thought we might all see some intresting things !
...... Peter

Peter I always have several on going projects in the works. Some have made it to resin work ups and others are still on paper. Let's see, I have a Vicky Altered that is in resin. It has been that way for a year. It still needs a few minor changes. I think my main project that I want to finish quickly is a new bronze cluster gear for the 4 gear chassis. This will be a one piece drop in just like the plastic gear. Another project would be new tire sizes for the motorcycle and crown gears. I have already posted a photo on my web site of some of that work...

My plans are to clear a room and make it a dedicated track/workshop room. Will try to have it ready for the race in January.

Several things planned for winter projects. Track rebuild has already started. Hoping to have it completed by mid December or earlier. I've got 5 bodies on the desk that I want to get into primer. Then I can roll with some painting and customizing. That got put off this season due to all the racing. I think that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

The rumor is correct. T jet, AFX style 3 gear, and inline all 3 classes will be run. Let the parts fly. Should be some mean cars there.

Too short right now 3.5 ft. I will soon be switching my track to a different room in the house. it has a 22' wall that will give me a 7' shutdown area. I also have sent a message to MaxTrax about their neo track which has magnets imbedded into the track for stopping.

Peter, I am running a combined NTRA Pro Mod/Pro Stock race. A 3 class bracket race if there are enough entries. Street, Pro, and Super Pro separated by ET. This is how they do it in full size racing. I will qualify all the cars 3 times then post the results giving the members a chance to give me a Dial in. If they do not I will put it in for them on a best guess. Then an anything goes outlaw race with 3 classes. T jet, AFX 3 gear, and inline. Only rule, American full bodied cars.

I use 4 pieces of flat steel with dynamic braking to make my shutdown and it works great. Never had a car reach the very end of shutdown down yet and I have hosted events running N/TF (4g's) and MM/PS. I still use a soft catch box just in case needed one day. This is similar to the shutdown used by the guys at Dr.HOE and they are the fastest HO racers I have seen so far.

By dynamic braking you mean you short the rails together in the finish area to let the motors act as a generator? Where do you mount the flat steel bars, under the track? Thanks, Dave
