One of the Super IIIs I bought has broken in and is running low .7s completely stock. I have not been trying any of the lower ohm arms in either the III or the recently aquired Mega. I have been working on the BSRT cars. Ordered one of the new Viper chassis just to try it out, they look just like a G3 with a couple of improvements. I do not have any silver brushes for the inlines but I do have some for the AFX and T jets which I will be working on soon.

I found a saw blade today so I gave it a try and did it work nice. Now to tape the first section and put in the power taps. Guess it's time to figure out what timing system I'm going to use.

Update: with only a pinion gear change, the stock one is junk and I had to glue this one on as the armature shaft seems a little short, I have an almost stock super III running low .60-.63s, making it one of my fastest near stock runners.

I'm waiting to hear how Al likes the system he is getting from Jegs. I can get that system for about the same money as the update and photoeyes will cost.

I will have to check but I remember buying some spare photocells that Daniel Tyler at slot dragon had recommended, dwtyler2450@yahoo.com Dan was very helpful and was easy to communicate with if you want to replace the photocells. They did not cost much either.

Almost stock ? .......lol. was pinion different size ? Changed pinion on one car that was measured for magnets. Out of round from AW. Haven't opened second car yet.

I put an 8 tooth pinion in it, the warped stock one is a 7. No other changes were made.

Peter those would be handy, the only problem is, I have no clue how to wire them in to the timing system. And yes the blade was used to cut the slot. I'm going to use copper tape, I haven't decided if I'm going to leave the tape flat or put something under it to create a rail of sorts. There's plenty of work to do before I tape it. I need to find out the size of the hole for the photoeyes and drill those and drill for the power taps, then paint the track. Then there's two more sections to build, the middle which makes it so I can convert it from eighth mile to quarter, and the finish/shut down. Like I said, plenty to do.

If 2. wire in series...... What was the kerf of blade ? Thinking of trying laying tye wire flush with surface , filling then taping. Been thinking of ways to make track with magnetic downforce.
