Gale those bodies look incredible, you are doing a fine job there. That’s a very professional looking set up that you have. Carry on the good work .

Gale both your Willy’s come out awesome. Both of those bodies are really narrow and both tough to fit the 4 gear chassis. To help cheat a little bit you can put the body in hot water and pull the sides apart slightly to clear the chassis better. And as for a vacuum pot I have always used my pressure pot for both. I have a couple of added quick release fittings for the different gauges to take off and replace with a different application. It’s worked great for me and you only have the one pot to deal with. And I haven’t used mold release to cast the bodies for a long time. It was getting expensive plus I was having some issues. The molds with really fine detail don’t last as long without the mold release. But I think I still get 25 - 30 pops per mold. I use vaseline and a little paint thinner mixed for the rubber to rubber. And I brush the entire inside of the female mold before I put the body in to pour the second half. That mold rubber will flow into the tiny of spaces. And if it does it pretty much ruins your mold. Like Al said I’ve forgot to put release between the rubbers a time or two along with a whole lot of other goof ups. And stripping the paint and chrome gives you a little more detail. If you think about it if you don’t strip the paint or chrome then after you cast it then you paint that casted body with primer, paint and clear it really covers most of the detail. These are things that I’ve been doing. It doesn’t mean it’s right or good but it’s works for me. Most of the time😁 And if you are looking for a body or a part to cast let me know. I tried stretching out the metal bodies on both the Willys, it's an ordeal but managed to get them both to barely slide over the top plate holder on the 4gear chassis before pouring the molds. Plus as you probably noticed, I ground out some of the metal on the bottoms of the hoods. Not the best alternative but turned out satisfactory. I love the idea of using the pressure pot for the vacuum pot. Going to see if I can use my same plexi lid some how as I'm a little partial to being able to watch it boil so as to prevent a boil over. Might have to fab a special gasket, I'll get back to you on that. I've just been lazy as far as stripping the body and chrome so will be trying to get with the program on that . Well, I think that was a great idea Rick passed onto me using the pressure pot as a vacuum pot also. Got a functional gasket on the vacuum lid and was good to go. I like it .
Here's the pressure pot holding at 60 lbs.
And here it is as the vacuum pot pulling at about 25 inches, which is the max I can get at this elevation.
